A1 PDF Editor lets you add links to the text in PDF files. You can link to a webpage or a particular page in the same PDF document.

How to add a link to a PDF file

  1. Open a PDF file and select the Edit tab.


  2. Select Link in the top toolbar.


  3. Select the area or the text you want a link to be added to.


  4. Choose the link destination on the sidebar on the right: To Page to add a link to a particular page in the current file, or To Web to add a webpage link.


  5. To link To Page, enter the page number or use the target picker to select it. To link To Web, enter the destination URL.


  6. Once done, click the blank space to save the changes. When finished working with links, click Edit at the top to exit the mode.

How to edit an added link

  1. Open a PDF file and select the Edit tab.

  2. Click the link you want to edit.

  3. Change the link destination on the sidebar on the right. Once done, click the blank space to save the changes. When finished working with links, click Edit at the top to exit the mode.

Make all links highlighted

When you add a link to a particular area of the document, it’s not visible and opens when you click the area. A1 PDF Editor can highlight all your links with a light blue color to make them easier to notice. To do so, go to the General section of the A1 PDF Editor Preferences and tick Highlight links.

How to remove a link from a PDF file

  1. Open a PDF file and select the Edit tab.

  2. Select Link in the top toolbar.

  3. Click the link you want to remove, then press the Delete key.

  4. When finished working with links, click Edit in the top to exit the mode.
